We collaborated closely with Tim Field, Paul Norris and the VFX teams at Zero and ReDefine to explore volumetric video as a solution for realistic crowd creation in the Whitney Houston biopic.

Over a two week period, we volumetrically filmed nearly 300 people and 1000 captures in 2K and 4k on set in Boston. VFX teams used the assets to generate tens of thousands of concert-goers and recreate epic stadium shots.

The technique captured the nuances and uniqueness of each crowd member's full body performance and detailed facial expressions, movements of clothing and props. This approach points to the future of filmmaking for both production and commercial.
