On The Wrecking Crew, Dimension stepped in mid-flight to deliver previs and postvis sequences, including an intense helicopter highway chase.

The Amazon MGM Studios action-adventure is directed by Angel Manuel Soto and stars Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista as estranged half-brothers Jonny and James. Partway through production, Dimension was sought out to deliver previs at speed and postvis for an ambitious car chase sequence.

Set against the backdrop of Hawaii, the film features a 3-minute Honolulu highway chase with a Chrysler Pacifica pursued by motorbikes and a helicopter through explosions, gunfire, and crashes. Dimension’s team provided a near 1:1 postvis match to the final of the high-octane chase sequence with intricate choreography across vehicles, camera, and environment.

The result was a postvis sequence that landed an almost like-for-like match to the final and a clear example of how our previsualisation and postvisualisation team can enable continuity and believability to even the most chaotic action.
